Do you have an interest in Data Governance, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies? If you answered yes, the newly formed Data Management Manager role in the Chief Data Office of the Legal department might be a great fit for you. In addition to an interest in data, the ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, excitement for joining an evolving team, a love of research, and a mix of technical and analytical skills. Specifically, the Data Management Manager will: Be trained on the major data risks (Data Quality, Data Use, Data Protection, etc.) and assume leadership of your own workstream(s) Manage programs across the Legal Data Practice and represent Legal in firmwide Chief Data Office forums and strategy sessions Lead development, adoption, and support of the CDO operating model across Legal Define and deliver roadmaps and timelines Have the opportunity to learn the business end of AI by evaluating use cases and managing pilots and Proof of Concepts Partner with stakeholders and Controls management to ensure appropriate control environment Collaborate with attorneys, business, and operations partners to define problems that can be solved using AI. Help prioritize and rank the solutions, and develop business cases. Analyze business, operational, end-user and non-functional requirements. Conduct end-to-end process analysis, document data flows, identify pain points and documents data mapping as needed Skills & Experience 5-7 years' experience in Data Governance, Project Management, or Data Management Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership, and influencing skills Bachelor's degree required Financial services background ideal Strong requirements elicitation and proven writing skills, including the ability to write concisely and clearly. Proven ability to coordinate across functional teams of business executives, IT professionals, and other key stakeholders towards common goals and objectives Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Cross-functional knowledge of Enterprise Data Capabilities: Data Governance, Master or Reference Data Management, Data Quality, Data Protection, etc. Process documentation experience a plus; ability to understand the impact of process changes on use of data Competency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, MS Project.
