Your work will have real-world impact and supported in achieving your career goals.Location/Division: Bothell, WA Biosciences DivisionHow will you make an impact?You will be implementing data analysis software solutions for commercial applicationsPerform statistical analysis, data mining, clustering, and multivariate regression and classificationPerform machine learning techniques to perform supervised and unsupervised training for data analysisHow will you get here?EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field. Master's or Ph.D. preferred.Experience:7+ years of experience in implementing data analysis software solutions for commercial applicationsExperience in statistical analysis, data mining, clustering, and multivariate regression, and classificationExperience in machine learning techniques to perform supervised and unsupervised training for data analysisExperience in implementing data visualization UI'sExperience implementing large-scale data analysis softwarePreferred experience in data analysis and machine learning applications related to cellular biologyExperience with Visual Studio and .NETKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Able to design, prototype, and implement commercially viable solutions to data analysis problems in cellular analysis applicationsAble to work in a team environmentWork with other AI software engineersWork with subject matter experts (product managers, biologists, application specialists) to understand requirements and constraints of the problem being solvedWork with software architects and other software engineers to understand how the data analysis software fits within the productsWork with hardware engineers who are developing the instruments and computers that the data analysis software will interact Knowledge of multi-threaded and multi-processor software architecturesKnowledge of implementing microservicesStrong working knowledge of C#, C++, Python programming languagesKnowledge and application of design patterns and object-oriented programmingKnowledge of MATLAB, R, and other prototyping toolsAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 75,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
