Essential Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer II - Machine Learning within CarMax Technology you will be developing solutions to productionize and operationalize algorithms as services for enterprise-level consumption. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Technology teams, and Delivery Managers to deliver highly impactful capabilities that drive CarMax's iconic omni-channel customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years' software-engineering experience in an enterprise-level environment
  • 1+ years' experience with microservices software architecture
  • 2+ years' supporting design and development of scalable services to be consumed by the enterprise, including monitoring and production support
  • Intermediate level of Python programming
  • 1+ years' experience building enterprise-level solutions with Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud technologies
  • Experience in DevOps practices, testing frameworks, and CI/CD
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Decision Sciences or equivalent area
  • Experience in an object-oriented programming language (i.e. C#, Java)
  • Experience on a fast-paced, highly collaborative agile team within a Product-oriented organization
