NVIDIA is hiring software engineers for its GPU-accelerated deep learning platform team. We work with academic and commercial groups around the world who are using GPUs to power a revolution in deep learning, enabling breakthroughs in problems from image classification to speech recognition to natural language processing. Join the team which is building software which will be used by the entire world. We work directly with deep learning framework developers by collaborating on open source code bases. We also work directly with deep learning researchers (internal to NVIDIA and in the community who are crafting the next general neural networks. What you'll be doing:In this role, responsibilities will include developing core deep learning algorithms for both internal and 3rd party codebases that support determinism. You will be active members of the open source deep learning software engineering community, and will actively contribute directly to software packages such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MXNet. The scope of these efforts ranges from integrating the latest cuDNN or CUDA features, performance tuning and analysis, implementing new algorithms, and other general software engineering work. What we need to see:Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math, or related field or equivalent work experience.Ability to work independently, define project goals and scope, direct contact with the open source community, and manage your own development effort.Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design. Python experience also highly desired.Solid understanding of deterministic systems within a parallel execution environment.Distributed systems programming or numerical methods experiencePrior experience with machine learning algorithms and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MXNet).10+ years of relevant software development experienceExperience as a team lead and mentoring of junior software engineersWhat we would like to see:GPU programming experience (CUDA or OpenCL) desired but not requiredExperience with contributions to or managing large open source project - use of github, bug tracking, branching and merging code, OSS licensing issues, managing patches, etc.NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers.
