As a research scientist at Adobe, you will be joining a vibrant team of Natural Language, Dialogue Systems, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence researchers to create the future of digital media. This is an opportunity to enhance and revolutionize our users' creative, document, and analytic content experiences through Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Representation, Unsupervised and Semi-supervised machine learning, Conversational AI, and Intelligent Document technologies.Responsibilities:• Conduct research on NLP, Low-supervision Machine Learning, Dialogue Systems, Knowledge Acquisition and Representation, Statistical and Symbolic Reasoning, Multimodal Understanding, and Intelligent Document Systems by applying NLP, Dialogue, AI, and Text Analytics methods.• Research, develop and enhance technologies that include: o Automatic acquisition of knowledge from multimodal unstructured and semi-structured sources o Un-structured and structured Open Information Extraction (OIE) using NLP for multimodal understanding, knowledge acquisition and representation, knowledge graph construction and augmentation, document understanding, search, recommendation and intelligent content collaboration systems. oAutomatic topic modeling, tagging, captioning, and summarization of content. oDocument understanding, question answering, recommendation, and conversational search systems. oConversational AI and Dialogue Systems• Collaborate with Adobe cloud teams to productize new Creative CLoud and Document Cloud technology features.• Partner with research teams at Adobe, including world class experts in language understanding, computer vision, deep learning, and AI.• Engage with the research community at large, including university collaborations, intern recruiting and mentorship, and publishing and participation in top-tier conferences.Requirements:• Passion for innovation and excellence.• Ph.D. in Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, Open Information Extraction, Dialogue Systems, or related fields.• Additional expertise in one or more of the following: knowledge graphs and knowledge bases, semi-supervised learning, unsupervised data augmentation, symbolic reasoning, document engineering, information retrieval, knowledge representation, machine learning, deep learning expertise for sequence modeling.• A track record of research impact, including high quality publications.• Solid software engineering skills.At Adobe, you will be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized throughout the world on Best Companies lists.
